ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Fallon, Nevada.

Opportunity : RN - ICU

Job Details :

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
  • Provide direct patient care in an intensive care unit setting
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
  • Review patient history and physical with patients / families and ensure completion within appropriate timeframes
  • Monitor diagnostics and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
  • Formulate individualized plans of care including discharge planning utilizing assessment data and patient / family input
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide coordinated patient care
  • Implement care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities
  • Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel
  • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
  • Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records in accordance with policy
  • Participate in unit shared leadership and contribute to staff education and orientation
  • Maintain physical demands including ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach and stretch frequently
  • Lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient transfers
  • Current valid RN license in state of practice required
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum one year acute care hospital experience in specialty area within past 12 months required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Professional certification preferred
