POSITION SUMMARY

The Registration Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and supervision of a specified department, both internally and externally as it interacts with other areas of the organization. This position requires detailed knowledge of registration as well as an understanding of how these areas impact the flow of work throughout the organization. The Registration Supervisor is responsible for communicating and enforcing policies and procedures, monitoring the accuracy of registration data, ensuring proper patient experience protocols are followed, and managing the overall coordination of work for the department. The position requires the ability to independently plan, schedule, organize and respond appropriately on a wide variety of subjects and situations. The ability to perform the duties of the staff supervised is required. Due to the nature of Registration and its importance in downstream processes, timely completion of duties and follow-up is critical. The ideal candidate Possesses a working knowledge of the registration duties and responsibilities in your assigned area in order to be able to assist with patient processing during high volume times. Effectively multi-tasks between supervisor duties and assisting with patient processing. Analyzes registration errors and researches them to determine if there are education needs, extenuating circumstances (such as system. Process, etc.) causing the error, or area / department specific issues. Facilitates effective communication and workplace relationships between line staff and external departments working in proximity (i.e., Registration and Radiology).

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

2-3 years registration experience, or similar field.

Required Registration / License / Certification

Preferred Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Experience

3-5 years registration experience, or similar field.

Previous training, team-lead or supervisory experience.
