Head of AI - Deep-Tech / Agentic AI Platform (Hybrid)

This is a fast‑growing deep‑tech company hiring a Head of AI to lead development of an advanced agentic AI platform transforming how industrial materials are discovered and evaluated. If you want to apply real AI to a high‑impact sustainability problem, with serious technical depth, this is a standout opportunity.

Base pay range

$180,000.00 / yr - $220,000.00 / yr

What You’ll Do

Own AI strategy, architecture, and execution
Lead a team of 3–4 AI / ML engineers
Build LLM‑driven agents, physics‑informed models, and complex data pipelines
Break down large technical challenges into clear, staged execution plans
Work directly with the CEO and technical leads to drive product direction

What They’re Looking For

Software engineering foundation + strong mathematics

2–3+ years working with LLMs in production

Strong academic background (Master’s / PhD ideal) or equivalent depth

Experience at a high‑quality tech company or research institution

Collaborative, thoughtful, low‑ego leadership style
