Job Description :

Raritan Valley Community College's Workforce Training Center is seeking experienced professionals to teach non-credit courses in Business, Leadership, and Professional Development. Our programs are designed for adult learners and working professionals who want to strengthen workplace skills, expand leadership capacity, and apply practical strategies for success in today's organizations.

Essential Duties :

• Deliver engaging in-person or online instruction that combines practical applications with interactive, hands-on learning.
• Design lesson plans that connect concepts directly to workplace challenges and opportunities.
• Support learners in applying new skills through projects, case studies, and real-world exercises.
• Track student attendance, provide feedback, and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with program staff to ensure courses remain aligned with workforce and employer needs.

Areas of Instruction

Courses in this category focus on strengthening leadership capabilities, from mastering the foundations of effective leadership to guiding diverse teams, managing organizational change, building strong teams, practicing the art of delegation, and leading projects from initiation through completion.

Leading Through Change

This category emphasizes essential workplace skills such as developing emotional intelligence, communicating with impact, managing time effectively, and approaching problems and decisions with creativity and confidence.

Emotional Intelligence at Work

Instruction in this category prepares participants to bring out the best in others?through coaching for performance, engaging employees, developing talent, and navigating conflicts constructively.

Coaching for Success

Courses in this category address higher-level organizational skills, including how to develop compelling proposals and business cases, manage complex projects, and approach strategic planning and decision-making with clarity and purpose.

Developing Proposals and Business Cases

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Professional experience in leadership, management, project management, or organizational development.

Teaching or training experience with adult learners strongly preferred.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Ability to translate theory into practical, workplace-relevant applications.
