Advanced Practice Nurse
Job Responsibilities :
The Advanced Practice Nurse provides provision of psychiatric nursing to the adult, children and adolescent population including the provision of case management activities, health and nutritional counseling.
- Provides case management activities; health and nutritional counseling and performs psychiatric evaluations.
- Evaluates, assesses, and administers client medications and oversees the medication management of client base.
- Consults with treating psychiatrist, partial care program, and medical physicians as needed to provide and facilitate appropriate treatment when needed.
- Completes Electronic Health Record documentation in accordance with all State / Federal requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Maintains compliance with all emergency response behaviors and other regulatory policies and procedures and operations not limited to DMHAS, DHS, Federal, State and County Governance, Medicaid, and Medicare.
Requirements :
Master’s degree required.Minimum of one-year post-licensure experience providing psychiatric assessments and treatment planning for the psychiatric population.Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) and be licensed / certified as an Advance Practice Nurse by the State of NJ.Must be registered / authorized by Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) to prescribe psychotropic medications.Tech-savvy with strong communication skills, along with the ability to manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment.Benefits :
