Job Description
Step into a pivotal role as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Aspen, Colorado, where your expertise helps patients breathe easier, recover faster, and reclaim confidence with every breath. In this specialty-focused assignment, you’ll apply advanced respiratory care techniques—from bedside assessments to complex ventilator management, ARDS protocols, and weaning strategies—while joining a team that values precision, compassion, and continuous learning. You’ll influence patient outcomes in a dynamic, high-altitude community renowned for clinical excellence, outdoor recreation, and a supportive medical network. Colorado’s dramatic scenery sets an inspiring backdrop for your professional journey : imagine powdery slopes, alpine air, and the vibrant energy of Aspen’s culture, offering opportunities for renewal and discovery beyond the shift. Colorado’s breathtaking landscapes invite you to experience weekend adventures, peaceful moments in the mountains, and the unique lifestyle that makes this state feel like a true partner in your career growth.
Aspen presents a compelling location advantage. Working in this resort-town environment means clinical collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across respiratory care, critical care, and emergency services in a setting that continuously challenges and refines your expertise. You’ll encounter a broad spectrum of cases, from high-acuity ICU patients to post-operative care, enabling you to elevate assessment skills, refine ventilator strategies, and tailor therapies to diverse patient needs. The program also offers flexibility with the opportunity to work at additional locations across the United States, broadening your professional footprint, expanding your clinical exposure, and empowering you to adapt to different hospital systems and patient populations while maintaining the high standards you bring to every shift.
Role specifics and benefits. In this contract, your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, initiating and adjusting respiratory therapies (oxygen delivery, CPAP / BiPAP, aerosolized medications, bronchodilators, chest physiotherapy), and closely monitoring ventilator parameters, ABGs, and patient responses. You’ll participate in weaning protocols, NIV management, and rapid response initiatives, while ensuring accurate documentation, charting, and communication with physicians and care teams. You’ll educate patients and families about therapies, equipment usage, and discharge plans, promoting adherence and understanding. Your role will also involve maintaining and safely troubleshooting respiratory equipment, ensuring infection control standards, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives that advance patient outcomes.
Our program emphasizes competitive compensation and robust support. You’ll receive weekly pay ranging from $2,171 to $2,264, with a potential sign-on bonus and housing assistance designed to ease transition and relocation. The contract emphasizes flexibility across weeks, with extension opportunities that allow you to continue your journey with the same supportive team if you choose. While hours are not guaranteed, you’ll gain access to a structured schedule and predictable planning opportunities, along with the full backing of 24 / 7 support from a dedicated travel-healthcare company. You’ll benefit from a comprehensive onboarding, orientation, and ongoing clinical mentorship, plus access to educational resources and credentialing support to advance your specialty practice.
Company values and environment. The organization is built on empowering its staff, recognizing that career advancement comes from mentorship, cross-training, and exposure to diverse clinical environments. A culture of collaboration and respect fosters a supportive work climate where your professional development is prioritized as part of patient-centered care.
