We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team on a contract basis in Prince George's County, Maryland. This hybrid position requires in-office presence three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). The role involves overseeing petty cash operations and managing financial reconciliations for various institutional programs.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise and lead a team of two, ensuring smooth operations within the accounts payable department.
- Oversee petty cash management.
- Ensure accurate processing and reconciliation of invoices and payments.
- Utilize systems like Workday and Convera to streamline payment workflows and maintain efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to address payment-related queries and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to enhance team performance and operational effectiveness.
- Prepare financial reports and documentation as required.
- Support the transition to new systems or processes, if necessary.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in accounts payable management or related roles.
- Proven supervisory experience, with a track record of leading and developing teams effectively.
- Proficiency in financial systems such as Workday and Convera.
- Strong skills in invoice and payment reconciliation.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities to manage complex financial operations.
- Familiarity with handling large-scale petty cash operations.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to hybrid work environments and manage time effectively.
