Setting : Surgical Services – Operating Room (OR Nurse)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (8 / 19 / 2024 – 11 / 18 / 2024)

Shift : Night shifts, 3x12 hour shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2030 - $2180

Call Requirement : Minimum 12 hours of call per week (30-minute response time required)

Weekend Requirement : Based on unit needs

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR RN) experience

BLS certification required

Ability to respond to on-call requirements within 30 minutes

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures

Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical healthcare team to provide high-quality clinical support

Maintain and prepare a sterile environment in the OR

Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after surgery

Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly as needed

Accurately document all aspects of patient care in compliance with hospital standards
