Himalayan Pet Supply is accepting applications for Cooking Floater in Production department. We are looking for someone who is willing to work for a small (but rapidly growing) company. Able to work under limited supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled work and performs related duties as assigned

About the company :

Himalayan Pet Supply began in 2003 with two brothers, a friend and his dog, Kaos. Kaos discovered ‘churpi’ and he loved it! We spent the next four years re-engineering the people-grade cheese to make it lactose free and safe for dogs. In 2007, we launched our new dog chew at a small pet fair in Bellingham, Washington creating a new category in the industry, thus changing the dog chew class significantly.

By 2016, we became a leader in the industry as we expanded out into other pet categories, transforming our company from a single product oriented business to a pet supply company. We now offer retailers not just a single chew, but treats, toys and gear as well. We’ve set our sights on outfitting your whole pack and becoming the top most trusted brand pet in the pet industry.

Shift is Monday- Thursday 6am - 4 : 30 pm with optional extra hours.

We are looking for the following qualifications in an applicant :

• Must be able to contently lift up to 65 pounds by yourself
• Must be able to stand, bend, reach and move heavy things for the duration of shift
• At the least, able to understand directions given in English and able to respond accordingly
• Ability to read and interpret work specifications
• Able to use box cutter when necessary
• Basic Math skills
• Must know how to use a scale, know the mass unit such as ounces, pounds, and grams for measuring our cheese products
• Must have good attendance and be able to show up on time for your shift.
• Since this is a floating position in our cooking department, you must be adaptable and willing to move within other stations in the production / cooking department and learn multiple machinery.

Compensation : $18-$19 per hour depending upon experience
