Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time position is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students for the 2025-2026 school year. Serving K-12 students, this role involves providing specialized instruction and support to enhance educational outes for students with hearing impairments. The position is itinerant, requiring travel between multiple campuses, and is strictly in-person, beginning August 7, 2025.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across K-12 grade levels.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to develop and implement effective educational strategies and acmodations.
  • Conduct assessments and monitor student progress to ensure achievement of IEP goals.
  • Provide consultative support regarding hearing technology and munication methods.
  • Facilitate munication and advocate for students within the school environment to promote inclusion.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Certification in Teaching Students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing or related credentials.
  • Experience working with K-12 Deaf and Hard of Hearing populations.
  • Strong munication skills, including proficiency in various munication modalities.
  • Ability to travel regularly between campuses within the district.
