Human Resources Assistant - Bilingual Spanish

Stockton, CA

Mon-Fri : 8am-5pm

Comp : $20-$25 / hr

Key Duties and Responsibilities :

Human Resources :

  • Conduct orientation and complete onboarding paperwork for new employees.
  • Ensure adherence to hiring, training, and termination procedures, including background checks, immunizations, and drug testing.
  • Ensure employees complete required training and understand their roles, company rules, and security procedures.
  • Collaborate with management to meet recruiting and staffing needs.
  • Assist in updating and communicating HR policies and procedures, recommending revisions as needed.
  • Serve as a backup for payroll processing.
  • Maintain organized employee files in compliance with state, federal, and company policies.
  • Be knowledgeable about the Employee Benefits Program and help guide and explain features to employees.
  • Oversee the employee recognition program, and manage anniversary and birthday cards and gifts.
  • Prepare and manage all HR-related paperwork, including employee files, termination documents, and compliance records.

Administration :

  • Greet and direct on-site visitors, handle incoming telephone calls by the third ring, forward messages, and manage deliveries.
  • Payroll : Assist with payroll processing as needed, handle withholding notices and employee / customer paperwork.
  • Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience as a Human Resources Assistant.
  • Bilingual in Spanish / English is required.
  • General knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with preferred utilization of Spanish language skills.
