Assistant General Manager

Oversees the quality and success of Goldfish Swim School daily operations including staffing, sales and service, marketing, community events, retail and vending department, private party operations and workplace employee activities.

Duties and responsibilities include : directing and controlling the daily operations, assisting General Manager and department managers with fulfillment of daily tasks, managing the staff to ensure high productivity, providing sales and marketing training, providing direction in the retail and vending departments, training and overseeing private party staff, gaining knowledge and experience in the software, initiating and overseeing workplace employee activities, directing and overseeing the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures, and fulfilling other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education / Experience : High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor's degree or higher preferred. Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor / coach, camp counselor and / or childcare provider required. Two or more years management experience preferred. Two or more years as a swimming instructor preferred.

Certificates and Licenses : Lifeguard, CPR / AED and first aid certification required. Shallow water attendant highly recommended.

Work Environment : While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
