RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

Work in Cave Spring Freestanding Emergency Department at 2706 Ogden Road, Roanoke, Virginia

8-bed emergency department with 23 RNs total on staff

Patient ratio of 1 : 4

Day shift options : 7a-7p, 9a-9p, or 11a-11p positions available

Night shift : 7p-7a positions available

Must have independent IV skills, EKG skills, and assessment skills

Previous ER experience required

Experience in freestanding ED setting preferred

Independent mixing of pharmacy drugs such as Tpa and KCentra preferred

Typical procedures include IVs, EKGs, and medication mixing

Required to scan medications for every patient and every medication

Work with GE Monitors, Nursecall system, Small Ventilator, Baxter Pumps, and Zoll Defibrillators

EMR system : Meditech

Required certifications : ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC

No floating to other areas required

Dress code : Navy or white scrubs

Holiday coverage required

Weekend rotation includes 3 weekend shifts (Fridays and Saturdays) per 4-week schedule

Must be a team player, outgoing, and able to work independently
