KKR's Leveraged Credit platform uses a fundamental, bottoms-up research approach to manage and invest over $45 billion of assets across a variety of asset classes and return profiles. The team is engaged in all aspects of the investment process, including but not limited to : idea generation, research and due diligence, financial modeling, and presentations to the Investment Committee. The Leveraged Credit team also actively shares ideas and industry diligence with KKR's Private Credit platform, KKR Capital Markets, and KKR Private Equity.

Position Summary & Qualifications

  • KKR's San Francisco-based Leveraged Credit platform is seeking a talented and motivated individual with 6-12 years of work experience in asset management, investment banking, equity / credit research, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm and curiosity for investing and a strong understanding of fundamental business analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree, CFA or other advanced degree preferred

Successful candidates will be engaged in a variety of responsibilities, including :

  • Conducting in-depth credit analysis on High Yield bonds and Leveraged Loans and other debt instruments
  • Deriving insightful industry trends and investment themes
  • Overseeing and contributing to key diligence work streams
  • Business analysis across a range of companies and sub-sectors
  • Identifying relative value and securities across the capital structure
  • Collaborating on due diligence and industry research across KKR's investment teams outside Leverage Credit

  • Exceptional technical skills with an ability to demonstrate good investment instincts, analytical capabilities, and finance, accounting and modeling skills
  • Demonstrated capabilities with financial reporting, creation of investor materials, and analyzing performance trends and KPIs
  • Motivated self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple demands and projects with competing deadlines, while maintaining attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for developing relationships with trust and integrity
  • Experienced manager and team player capable of working with internal and external stakeholders in a way that reflects the firm's core values and principles
  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced and demanding environment, preferably with a background in a financial services industry (Private Equity, Consulting, Investment Banking, etc.)
  • High level of intellectual curiosity, accountability and drive

    • This is the expected annual base salary range for this San Francisco-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.

    Base Salary Range $195,000 - $250,000 USD
