We are looking for an experienced Part Time Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Pontiac, Michigan. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule of approximately 10 hours per week and is a Contract to permanent opportunity. The role requires a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is skilled at managing bookkeeping functions independently.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
  • Perform detailed bank and account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Collaborate with external accounting organizations to complete year-end financial closing procedures.
  • Handle payroll tasks, including tracking employee hours, verifying data accuracy, and processing payments through QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Oversee quarterly tax filings, partnering with external tax professionals as needed.
  • Communicate with customers and follow up on leads generated through platforms such as Home Depot and Angie's List.
  • Utilize Builder Trend and spreadsheets to ensure payroll data is synced correctly with QuickBooks.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in month-end closing activities.
  • Maintain compliance with Michigan tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Address inquiries and provide support for financial matters as they arise.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper with a proven ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop for managing financial data and payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
  • Experience with bank and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Familiarity with Michigan tax regulations and quarterly tax filings.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis.
  • Ability to manage payroll processes, including data verification and direct deposits.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and external partners.
