Job description

Are you an Emergency Medicine Physician seeking a locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina? This position near Jamesville offers a rewarding opportunity to provide care in a dynamic emergency setting.

Key Details :

Location : Near Jamesville, North Carolina
Start Date : January 6, 2025
Duration : 612 months with a minimum of two shifts per month
Shifts :

12-hour shifts

Options : 7 AM7 PM, 11 AM11 PM, or 7 PM7 AM

Patient Volume : Annual ED visits : 46,000; Average daily census : 124

Admission Rate : Approximately 13%

On-Site Support : 32.5 hours of Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage daily

Requirements :

Board Certification : Board-certified or board-eligible (up to five years post-graduation) in Emergency Medicine

Residency Training : ACGME-accredited program

Certifications :

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Board-certified physicians exempt from ACLS but must meet sedation requirements

Licensing : Willing to license; an active state license not required to apply

Experience with EMR Systems : Epic charting experience preferred

Privileges and Onboarding :

Expedited privileges available for candidates with a clean file, active license, DEA, and completed application.

Privileging timeframe : 6090 days; expedited process available for onboarding in two weeks if scheduled.

Orientation includes all billable hours and EMR training.
