Experienced Behavioral Health Therapist- Hybrid

Inova Outpatient Adult Behavioral Health is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist IV to join the Adult Outpatient Behavioral Health team. We are looking for compassionate, skilled therapists who are eager to provide short-term behavioral health interventions to adults of all ages. This is a fast-paced clinical setting with a supportive team of therapists, psychiatrists and nurses who all work collaboratively to help adults navigate mental health challenges for improved functioning in their day-to-day lives. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. 5 : 00 p.m.

• Behavioral Health Therapist IV Job Responsibilities :
• Serves as clinical expert providing a range of therapeutic services, psychoeducational programming and behavioral interventions to assist the client in achieving progress towards the goals and objectives of individualized treatment plans.
• Assesses and diagnoses mental health and / or substance use disorders through a bio / psycho / social department specific and evidenced based assessment identifying patient and family goals / needs.
• Serves as a clinical leader by providing clinical supervision to team members seeking licensure as well as supervision / mentoring of graduate students during clinical internships.
• Integrates assessments using information related to cultural, clinical, ethnic, age and other factors into the plan of care while providing a range of therapeutic interventions, psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient / family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
• Minimum Qualifications :
• Education :
• Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field.
• Experience
• : Five years of experience post licensure in mental health / substance use disorder treatment, psychoeducational programming including targeted, evidence-based interventions (crisis intervention, trauma, and integrative therapies).
• Certification :
• Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association within 3 months of hire. Crisis Prevention Institute within 6 months of hire. CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention, receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure :
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP). Approved Clinical Supervisor Within 3 Months
• Preferred Qualifications :
• Running in-person or virtual groups
• Dual language (English / Spanish)
