Mother / Baby RN Job Details

Location : Weirton, WV 26062 (West Virginia nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Maternal Child Unit (Mother / Baby, Postpartum, Labor & Delivery)

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 1 / 2025 – End : 1 / 31 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour nights; weekends as scheduled

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Scheduling : Block scheduling; every other weekend required

Charting System : EPIC

Dress Code : Purple hospital laundered scrubs

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2140-$2290

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Mother / Baby, Postpartum, or Labor & Delivery

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Labor experience including cervical exams and FSE / IUPC placement

Ability to titrate drips (Pitocin, insulin, heparin)

Comfortable working in a combined L&D, Mother / Baby, and Postpartum unit

Mother / Baby RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns in postpartum, labor & delivery, and nursery settings

Perform cervical exams and assist with fetal scalp electrode / intrauterine pressure catheter placement

Provide pre-op, circulate, and post-op care for C-section patients

Monitor and titrate medications / drips (Pitocin, insulin, heparin) as needed

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care

Document patient care using EPIC electronic health record system

Participate in block scheduling and work every other weekend as required
