Job Description
Claris Vision LLC is looking for a career-minded individual to assist in the daily direction of patient care and flow of your assigned clinical location. As the Ophthalmic Tech Manager / Floor Coordinator, you will be responsible for the management of daily office operations to ensure consistency, flow, and achievement of individual and team goals, under the supervision and direction of the Director of Operations. You will interface daily with patients, physicians and office staff, while communicating and coordinating in a clear and professional manner. Prior experience as a Manager / Supervisor is required, Ophthalmology experience strongly preferred. You must have the flexibility to work within the hours of operation, including occasional weekends, early mornings, or late evenings as needed.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, train and supervise all technical staff operations to ensure compliance with company policies and all healthcare ordinances, including patient privacy.
- Assist in the direction of physician and patient activities, acting as a liaison between the front and back office to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction and overall efficiency of the office
- Seek out and identify areas of improvement regularly; research, plan, and develop action plans for immediate implementation
- Monitor new hires for training status and development
- Manage and enforce the safety and security of the workplace environment, along with the legal / regulatory compliance of the office operations
- Manage office and / or oversee staff scheduling, time, attendance, overtime and time off requests and coverage of sick calls
- Lead, promote, and encourage a healthy and inclusive work environment through regular coaching, teamwork, and positive reinforcement
- Coach team members, providing constant support and areas for career development
- Evaluate individual performance levels through continuous performance management as directed by Human Resources
- Conduct disciplinary action meetings as appropriate
- Track and report team development and efficiency of the office to senior leadership and / or Human Resources
- Adjust training, processes, or staffing as needed to ensure a smooth workflow
- Maintain corporate standards within the office to ensure brand consistency and relay any specific issues or needs to corporate as needed
- Manage office inventory of medical and office supplies to ensure cost and inventory controls are in place
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Ordering Meds
- Scheduling special testing and acquiring Prior authorizations and fulfilling Rx refills request
- Equipment Maintenance
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required;Higher education / undergraduate degree preferredMinimum 1-2 years’ experience working in the medical field and 1+ year supervisory experienceStrong organization and leadership / management skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication skillsSolid attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure individually and as part of a teamOpen availability to work, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends when neededAdvanced computer skills and EMR experience requiredMust possess the physical, mental, and cognitive skills needed to complete essential tasks, including abilities such as learning, remembering, focusing, categorizing, and integrating information for comprehension, problem-solving, and timely decision-making and wield exceptional inter-personal communication skills with diverse populations.Our full-time employment package offers :
