PAY RATE : $150 / hour

Summary :

Lead and coordinate the engineering team to ensure structural integrity, compliance, and safety of aircraft modifications.

Support design, analysis, and certification of complex aircraft modification projects in a collaborative environment.

Interface with the Director of Certification to support Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and other regulatory or commercial programs.

Coordinate and monitor consulting engineers and external engineering support.

Manage engineering department resources to meet company requirements.

Serve as technical point of contact for engineering projects.

Align team strengths to deliver on Safety, Customer Satisfaction, Schedule, Budget, and Team Development.

Drive change through goal setting, accountability, and recognition.

Assign staff work and monitor performance.

Report to the Vice President, Engineering or other senior manager.

Requirements :

Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering required.

Minimum 15 years of aircraft structural substantiation experience (FEMAP / NASTRAN, hand calculations, report writing).

10+ years in aircraft modification environment.

Familiarity with aircraft engineering resources (MMPDS, Bruhn, Roark, etc.).

Working knowledge of aircraft structures, materials, processes, hardware, and composites.

Experience with both airframe modifications and new airframe design.

Thorough knowledge of FAA 14 CFR Part 23 & 25 structural regulations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.

Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and collaborate across teams.

Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred; MBA a plus.

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
