Job Description

We are seeking skilled heavy equipment operators for an industrial renovation project at an oil and gas compressor station. The ideal candidate will possess experience in operating heavy machinery to support construction, earthwork, and demolition projects. This role involves tasks such as digging, trenching, loading trucks, moving materials, and ensuring safe operations around existing underground utilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform dirt work, including loading trucks, digging trenches, grading, and backfilling.
• Conduct demolition work as directed, ensuring safe handling of debris and structures.
• Excavate around existing utilities with precision and care to avoid damage.
• Load, move, and stockpile dirt, gravel, aggregate, and other construction materials.
• Perform daily pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Follow site plans, blueprints, and foreman instructions to complete work accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and project-specific guidelines.

Work Environment

The work environment is an industrial construction setting where you will be working outside in various weather conditions. The usual schedule is Monday through Friday and Saturdays, from 7 AM to 5 : 30 PM, with the possibility of additional hours. Expect to work five 10-hour days and an 8-hour day.

This is a Contract position based out of Mooresville, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
