CDL-A Regional Truck Driver
About the Role Rouse Trucking is seeking experienced CDL-A regional drivers in the San Antonio, TX area. This position offers steady freight, flexible home time, and reliable equipment for drivers who want a long-term career. Our regional routes are designed for efficiency, with minimal time spent on complex city routes.
Compensation Regional drivers earn $1,315 $1,515 per week. Accessorial pay is included, covering detention, layover, and holiday time. We prioritize keeping drivers moving and ensuring every hour worked is properly compensated.
Flexible Home Time Drivers are on the road 79 days and earn one full day off for every seven days worked. Home time begins the day after arrival, giving drivers the full time they've earned. You can take home time anywhere within your operating area, providing flexibility to visit family or manage personal schedules.
Freight & Routes Approximately 8590% of freight is drop and hook, maximizing driving hours and productivity. For loads that require unloading, drivers are provided with an electric floor jack and are paid for this work. Routes avoid New York City and New Jersey, helping drivers stay focused on consistent miles.
Equipment & Support Drivers operate late-model Kenworth T680 automatic trucks, equipped with Smart Idle, 1500-watt inverter, bunk heater, and double bunks with new mattresses. Trucks are serviced every six months to minimize downtime. Orientation is just three days, with travel covered via rental car or Greyhound, including hotel and Uber when needed.
