Title : Director of Nursing (DON) / Nursing Director

Location : Bronx, NY (Onsite)

Schedule : Monday–Friday, Full-Time

Compensation :

Salary : Up to $150,000 (flexible for highly qualified candidates) + Benefits

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations within a well-established community. The DON will oversee care delivery, regulatory compliance, nursing staff leadership, and quality outcomes to support a safe and resident-centered environment.

This position is ideal for a nurse leader who enjoys direct engagement with residents, staff mentoring, and shaping clinical standards within a collaborative care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction for nursing and care teams.
• Ensure high-quality resident care and compliance with NYS regulatory standards.
• Conduct initial and ongoing resident assessments and ensure accurate care documentation.
• Develop and oversee individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary staff.
• Support, train, coach, and evaluate nursing staff and care team members.
• Serve as a clinical resource for residents, families, and staff.
• Oversee incident reporting, quality improvement initiatives, and care policies.
• Participate in on-call and limited weekend rotation as needed.
