Inside the Role
Designs, develops, and implements new or revised production processes for the efficient / economical mass production of goods. Designs arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Designs the sequence of production operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions. Conducts tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and troubleshooting / solving production problems. Provides guidance to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Position offers a starting salary range of$86,000 - $110,000 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, andexperience.

What You Drive at DTNA
Evaluate current production processes for improvement opportunities.
Recommend process changes and coordinate the implementation of these changes into production.
Coordination of Capital projects which includes researching vendor sources, request quotations, select vendors, developing justification, writing AFE, set due date, issue requisitions (coordinate with Purchasing), schedule tryouts, trouble shoot and approve equipment.
Oversee pre-series and product changeovers for new product and features in area of responsibility and report on findings.
Attend critical daily and weekly meetings to provide support and technical input.
Review production tooling and fixture requirements.
Design, specify, order, and coordinate fabrication of required tools and fixtures.
Implement electronic production error proofing and validation systems to ensure quality of produced product
Lead people as a project manager in achieving successful project launches.
Establish and maintain visual management (Tactical Implementation Plan - TIP) of ongoing projects.
Implement electronic testing and validation systems as required to elevate finished product quality
Knowledge You Should Bring :
BS / BA in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field and 2 - 4 years of relevant experience
Project management - Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
Working Knowledge of Pre-series processes
Ability to work in a production environment
Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints, installation drawings, and schematics
Proficient in standard MS office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Good communication skills including presentations
Exceptional Candidates Might Have :
Electrical Engineering experience
Familiarity with Tactical Implementation Plans (TIP) and Master site planning highly desired
Knowledge of Truck computer system programming and diagnostic tools (VET, VEPS)
Dyno / ABS programming / Software capabilities
Knowledge of electrical testers / alignment equipment
