Job Description
Engineering Technician
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Technician for a company located in Westwego, LA. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with building, wiring, and installing process components, along with troubleshooting and resolving issues within PLC and controls systems.
Pay Rate
$30 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7 : 00am-4 : 00pm
Engineering Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, build, and test solutions to a variety of technical problems.
- Skilled in Root Cause Analysis with an emphasis on design modification and corrective action to minimize downtime, increase productivity, and maintain continuity of operations.
- Evaluate engineering proposals, shop drawings, or design comments for sound electrical engineering practice or conformance with established safety or design criteria.
- Participating in learning and growth opportunities.
- Operate within our preventative and predictive maintenance program.
- Communicate with production operators to ensure proper changeovers and equipment process.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment electrically and mechanically.
- Review electrical engineering criteria to identify necessary revisions, deletions, or amendments to outdated material.
- Update and occasionally draft schematics using CAD software.
