Inpatient Coding Specialist

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Specialist responsible for analyzing and auditing documentation for accurate coding assignment.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and audit documentation to ensure compliance with coding requirements

Collaborate with providers and clinical documentation staff to translate medical records accurately

Assist with quality audits, denial management, and monitoring documentation patterns

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Associate or bachelor's degree in health information management or a related field with a coding certificate

AHIMA or AAPC Certifications required

Minimum of 1 year of inpatient coding experience

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office

Experience with ICD CM / PCS and familiarity with EPIC
