Planning / Scheduling Lead
The Planning / Scheduling Lead is responsible for providing direct support to the operations group to help maintain objectives set out by the Planning Supervisor. Oversee the Planning & Scheduling department daily and communicate issues to the Planning Supervisor. The P&S Lead should have a wide understanding of processes within the department and great communication skills within Operations, Sales, and PMO teams.
Responsibilities include :
- Training and onboarding new hires in the department.
- Overseeing and ensuring that the Planning and Scheduling team meets expectations on a daily basis.
- Able to perform scheduler duties and backup as needed.
- Capturing processes of the planning and scheduling department in RWI and AWI's.
- Able to back up the Planning Supervisor for job order creation, revenue projections, contract review, and customer order blanket release management.
- Providing information and feedback for employee reviews.
- Working with sales and production to maintain and update forecasted orders to meet demand.
- Maintaining customer relations.
- Analyzing root causes of operational malfunctions and providing resolutions.
- Handling escalated production issues and following up on outstanding issues promptly.
- Recommending process improvements to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Tracking and monitoring product and reporting to the customer or operations.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual, and reliable attendance as set by the supervisor according to handbook guidelines consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
