Overview
Most Holy Trinity Church, a large and diverse Catholic parish in San Jose, California is seeking a Part-Time Music Director to lead and coordinate all aspects of our parish music ministry. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic with strong musical skills, and a collaborative spirit to work across multiple choir groups and cultural communities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate music for parish liturgies, including :
- Sunday and weekday Masses
- Holy Days of Obligation
- Liturgical seasons (Advent, Lent, Easter)
- Multicultural and special events as needed
- Direct and support parish choirs, cantors, and musicians (English, Spanish, and Vietnamese communities)
- Schedule and lead rehearsals; ensure choirs and musicians are well-prepared
- Select music appropriate to the liturgy
- Collaborate with the Pastor and Liturgy Committee in planning
