Must-Have :

• Neuro ICU experience
• Comprehensive assessment skills
• Care of hemodynamically unstable patients
• Care of mechanically ventilated patients
• Thorough neurological assessment skills

Description :

The unit provides critical care for patients with neurosurgical and neurological conditions.

The unit consists of 30 beds with patient ratios of 1 : 1, 1 : 2, and 1 : 3.

The equipment used includes Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, EV 1000, and Neuroptics Pupillometer.

Electronic Medical Record system is Epic.

The patient population includes individuals with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, post-operative craniotomy cases, seizures, encephalopathy, and neurologic tumors.

Candidates must be team players with a positive attitude, flexible, and empathetic.

The dress code requires navy scrubs, and unacceptable attire includes hoodies.

Floating to other inpatient areas may be required when the home unit has low census.

Preferred skills include experience with pupillometers, EVD, ICP waveform management, CRRT, and familiarity with Epic.
