Staff Source is seeking Grapple Crane Operators for a client in South Chicago, IL. This is a full-time temp to hire position. The starting pay rate is $20 hourly. The shift is 6 : 30am-2 : 30pm, Monday through Friday and over time may be required at times.
Job duties :
- Responsible for moving, lifting, and reposition scrap within the scrap yard and load trucks, and rail cars and barges with metal scrap.
- Performs safety inspections on equipment and / or facilities as required by Company policy
- Complete inspections of the crane and surrounding area to ensure safe and adequate travel and operation
- Reports any equipment malfunctions and / or concerns to Manager
- Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean work area
