Electrical Engineer Defense Systems

Minneapolis, MN | Long-Term Contract | pay : $50$59 / hr (W2)

We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and deployment of advanced military systems. In this long-term contract role, you'll contribute to projects involving combat vehicles, guided munitions, and next-generation weapon systems. This position plays a key role in electrical system design, integration, and verification, working closely with cross-functional teams under the direction of project engineering leads.

Key Responsibilities

Design and analyze analog / digital circuits and electrical systems for defense-related applications.

Develop schematics, interface control documents, simulations, and test procedures.

Support integration of electrical subsystems into complex platforms.

Evaluate vendor solutions, components, and technologies for compliance with military specs.

Create and maintain technical documentation (e.g., drawings, reports, system analyses).

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in electrical engineering (2+ with M.S.).

Proficient in schematic creation, reading, and circuit simulation (PSpice, LTspice).

Hands-on experience with analog and digital circuit design.

Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiar with military / commercial design standards and EMI considerations.

Working knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, OrCAD, and Visio.

Experience with FPGA integration, control logic, and wiring harness design.

Knowledge of power systems, battery management, and ammunition handling systems.

Exposure to programming languages such as C, C#, or LabWindows / CVI.

Education

B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field (M.S. preferred)
