Water & Wastewater Services Division (BGC WWS), a partner of the H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated full-time Assistant Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the lead tech to help service, repair, and install water / wastewater equipment and systems.The ideal candidate is safety focused, team oriented, and takes initiative. Hands-on training provided.Minor welding or fabrication as needed.Help stage tools, rigging, and materials; set up and break down job sites.Ensure compliance with OSHA and confined-space safety protocols; complete service reports and daily logs.Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response.QualificationsRequired Skills, Education, and Experience2+ years as a technician in general construction or industrial maintenance, with a mechanical focus (pumps, piping, rotating equipment)Must be comfortable working in and around wastewater environmentsBasic mechanical knowledgeAble to lift and / or move up to 75 poundsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsEfficiency, accuracy, and responsibilityPreferred Skills, Education, and Experience3 years related experienceMaintenance experienceExperience in Wastewater services, heavy civil construction, or other heavy industryCertificationsOSHA 40-hourConfined Space EntryCPR & First-AidTechnical Skill SetProficient with basic hand and power tools; mechanically inclinedAble to read equipment manuals, schematics and blueprintsClear communicator, comfortable working side-by-side with plant personnelSelf-motivated and organizedAdvanced skills such as laser assignments and vibration analysisExposure to welding or pipefitting is a plusMobility & DrivingValid drivers licensePhysical DemandsOccasionally required to : Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlTalk and hearLift and / or move up to 75 poundsWork EnvironmentOccasionally exposed to : Moving partsFumes and / or airborne particlesExtreme heatRisk of shockInclement / outdoor weatherNoise level is loud at timesThe Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc.
