Design Engineer (CAD) - Iron Castings

In the role of a Design Engineer , you'll be instrumental in creating top-notch ductile iron castings through the utilization of computer-aided design and simulation software. Your responsibilities will extend to offering vital technical assistance to clients, guaranteeing operational effectiveness, and crafting designs tailored for manufacturing processes. Your tasks will encompass the complete spectrum of designing, innovating, executing, and assessing technical foundry components, along with conducting engineering design appraisals for diverse castings. The salary bracket for this position could be upward of $100k based on experience in casting design experience. You will be required to be onsite and located in the Mankato, MN area (relocation assistance) if needed.

Requirements :

• A bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred, a minimum of an associate's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing and 7+ years of experience in CAD modeling, reading blueprints, and designing for manufacturability. Experience in foundry processes, continuous improvement, and tooling design is preferred. Experience using Casting Simulation Software and CNC Machining is highly preferred.
