Description :
Performs technical radiographic assignments.
Exercises complex skills, judgment, and knowledge of the principles and methods of CT and Radiologic Technology.
Performs diagnostic radiographic studies as requested.
Operates portable diagnostic radiographic equipment where needed.
Performs Infection Control according to Universal Precautions.
Demonstrates the ability to provide care to infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Operates with accuracy radiographic, CT, image processors, and other related equipment across different modalities.
Evaluates images for quality and demonstrates accuracy of positioning based on procedure guidelines.
Provides clear and concise instructions during procedures to calm and relieve stress for patients.
Maintains competency in two specific modalities.
Ensures that proper radiation protection is used for self, patients, and other personnel through the use of proper collimation, lead shielding, and techniques when applicable.
Demonstrates flexibility in assuming emergency call on weekdays, weekends, and holidays in addition to routine hours.
Demonstrates competency in RIS and PACS.
Utilizes the system to enter and edit patient exams and charges.
Records other appropriate data, scans documents, and makes notes.
Responsible for the performance of radiographic and CT studies with and / or without IV contrast enhancement, including, but not limited to, brain, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, spine, facial, and extremities.
Follows applicable guidelines.
Performs required quality control activities.
Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated.
Required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, and tissues.
