• Work in a Level 1 trauma center PACU that operates 24 / 7
• 8 to 13 week contract available with firm start date
• Patient ratio of 1 nurse to 2 patients for all shifts
• 12-24 hours of call required per 6 week schedule block
• Must work 1 holiday shift during contract and 2 out of 3 major holidays
• No floating required within this unit
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications : ACLS, PALS, BCLS
• Must be proficient with Cerner charting system
• Experience required with all surgical services including Neuro, Ortho, PV, Thoracic, Urology, Gyn, Plastics, and Pediatrics
• Must be comfortable with intubated patients and ventilated patient care
• ICU / PCU experience preferred
• Must be comfortable working in a large, fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Daily census ranges from 65-85 patients
• 26 bed unit receiving all specialties except open heart surgery
• Indiana license or Compact license required in hand prior to start
• Flu vaccine required with medical / religious exemptions only
• Complete 8 hours of non-billable modules pre-start
