About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Foundation for Healthier Communities. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, leading major gift initiatives, and overseeing all aspects of grant proposal writing and reporting. This role is pivotal in growing the Foundation's donor community and requires the cultivation of positive relationships with both existing and potential donors. The Executive Director will work closely with the Foundation Board and the CEO to set annual and long-term fundraising goals, manage the Foundation team, and ensure the Foundation's activities align with the strategic plan.
Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in fundraising leadership, with a preference for those with a background in healthcare fundraising. The role demands a proven track record in philanthropy, including experience in annual giving, capital campaigns, and various solicitation methods. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree (or a Bachelor's degree) in a relevant field, and a Certification of Fundraising Executive (CFRE) is preferred. Key skills include the ability to create and manage budgets, outstanding communication, and the capacity to work with diverse stakeholders. The Executive Director will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining fiscal records, and managing the volunteer program.
