A company is looking for a Coding Specialist to manage CPT and ICD-10 coding while ensuring accuracy and maximizing reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities
Assign and sequence ICD-10 and CPT codes accurately, including all applicable modifiers
Contact clients regarding inadequate or unclear documentation for coding purposes
Monitor regulatory and payer changes related to diagnostic and procedure coding
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
1-3 years of experience in medical coding and auditing, and / or customer service
Nationally recognized coding credential (e.g., CPC, COC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT)
1-3+ years of experience in outpatient physician and / or multi-specialty coding
Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, CDT, and ICD-10 codes and medical terminology
