Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $2,330 per week in Pleasant Prairie, WI

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : 2 years of recent ICU experience License : Must have a compact license in hand Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS in hand Must-Have : - Strong CRRT skills - Supervisor references Description : Shift is 3 shifts of 12 hours during the day. Every other weekend is required. Must have BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications in hand at the time of application. Two supervisor references are required, one from the most recent or current assignment. Must have 2 years of recent ICU experience. Will float to IMCU (stepdown) if needed. Patient ratios during the day will be 2-3 patients. Epic charting system experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred. Travel experience is required. Additional skills required include : - Accessing and managing ports - Arterial line management - Assisting with chest tube insertion / removal - Management of patients on BiPAP and CPAP - Blood product administration - Care of ventilated patients - Management of central lines - Monitoring central venous pressure - Chemotherapy administration - Management of acute stroke patients - Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) - Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) - Management of patients with multi-system organ dysfunction / failure - Ventilator management - Post-surgery care for cardiac and neurosurgery patients. Preferred skills include advanced knowledge in trauma and surgical ICU management. Travelers who have worked under a return staff policy must have been gone for 1 year to return.
