and Brooklyn!
The multi-specialty group has four facilities located in
Huntington, Nesconset, Bayshore and Commack.
This role will be located in Huntington, at a new state-of-the-art facility which opened in the summer of 2018. Long Island is full of beautiful communities with excellent school districts, art museums, restaurants, and concert venues. Additionally, Manhattan is only a short drive or train ride away. Mount Sinai Doctors Long Island offers comprehensive care through its sites and is comprised of 77 physicians representing almost every medical and surgical specialty. Additionally, this site has a full imaging center, state-of-the-art accredited office endoscopy center, and on-site Laboratory, as well as a comprehensive support team, including RN’s and MA’s.

facility, is currently seeking a full-time Ophthalmologist to join
its practice in Downtown Brooklyn! Mount Sinai Doctors
Brooklyn Heights is a multi-specialty practice in Brooklyn
dedicated to providing exceptional “whole person”
healthcare. The large multispecialty practice is located at
300 Cadman Plaza West, Brooklyn, NY 11201 serving a diverse
community. The practice is in the heart of Brooklyn Heights, which
is a short walk to DUMBO, downtown Brooklyn, Cobble Hill, and
Carrol Gardens offering an endless array of restaurants, nightlife,
and shopping. Brooklyn waterfront provides parks, ball fields, and
playgrounds with possibly the greatest view in NYC. Additionally,
there are premier school districts, public and private within
walking distance of practice, as well as numerous cultural
activities such as the Brooklyn Academy of Music and Mark Morris
Dance Studio. Mount Sinai Doctors Brooklyn Heights offers
comprehensive care where patients can see various specialties
including allergy, cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonary,
endocrinology, pediatrics, Ob / Gyn, dermatology, urology, renal, all
at the same site. Services offered include on site lab, radiology
plus comprehensive Breast Cancer Screening (FNA), ultrasound,
X-ray, CT scan, and cardiac testing. The site has a comprehensive
support team, including MAs and
LPNs.
The ideal candidates will play an instrumental role in ensuring excellent patient care, quality outcomes, and satisfaction. Position Responsibilities :
Diagnose and treat wide range of eye diseases and conditions
Performing necessary surgical procedures, including examinations both before and after surgery, as well as instructing patient on self-care to improve recovery
Provide health education and counseling and establish preventive health practices
Initiate laboratory, radiology, and pathology exams and specialty consults as necessary
Exercise judgment in establishing priorities of medical care and consult with and refer to appropriate specialist in regards to high risk or complex patients
Fosters a professional, collaborative work environment with all team members and colleagues
Participation in Quality Improvement (CQI) program and clinical projects for practice improvement when requested.
Provide case management with other health care team members
Position Qualifications :
Medical Degree from an Accredited University
Ability to obtain a New York license
Board Certification or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology
Active DEA license and BLS and ACLS certification
Demonstrated professional competence and integrity and ethical conduct of practice
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, bedside manner and organizational skills
Patient focused and committed to providing outstanding and compassionate care and service to all patients
A strong work ethic and desire to participate in team-oriented, performance-driven Health System
Strong computer skills and EMR knowledge
Compensation range from 300K to 400K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital / community need.
