Job Title : Student TA - GAM 200 / 250 (Beeman) F24-S25

Reports to

Ellen Beeman, Rachel Rutherford, Doug Schilling

Class Times : Fridays – 1 : 00-6 : 00 p.m.;other times as needed

Essential Functions

Experience

Ideal candidates will have acted before in a leadership position (GAM team Producer or Associate Producer; GAM team Design Lead; GAM team Technical Director, core Graphics programmer, core Engine, Physics, Physics, Buildmaster, or IMGUI programmer; Audio Lead; or a separate TA / Tutor position, etc.).

As a plus, they will have a familiarity with project management software, and SVN and / or GIT. In Fall and Spring semesters, TAs must be available to students via MS Teams chat (text or voice / video) on an as-needed basis.

Requirements :

Technical (primary) : Art pipeline, graphics programming (DirectX 11 or OpenGL up to version 4.5), debugging and testing, editors and tools (IMGUI), audio programming, FMOD, WWise audio engine integration, messaging, general engine architecture, IMGUI, physics and collision, serialization and deserialization (JSON), source control (SVN, Git, GitHub), source control best practices, technical documentation, Technical Director guidance.

Unity and C# prototyping, supporting artists, supporting audio designers, supporting and collaborating with other designers, feedback, technical design, game economy, level Design, managing game scope, playtesting and playtest reports, progression mechanics, puzzle design, UI / UX design, narrative design, UR design, signifiers, systems design & game mechanics, tutorialization, user research.

Conflict resolution, cross-discipline collaboration, hiring / firing / leaving teams, managing game scope, Production mentor, task tracking tools (Trello, etc.), team dynamics, team morale, team stand-ups, schedule and task-tracking, risk management, rubric tracking, upholding and understanding needs of GAM 200 / 250, PRJ 250 / 252, and / or the relevant MUS classes.

Expected number of hours per week : 5-10

Wage Range :

$16.28 - 17.25 per hour , depending on number of terms worked at DigiPen
