Academic General Faculty, Technology & Operations Management (TOM)

The Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia invites applications for an Academic General Faculty (AGF non-tenure track) in TOM beginning in the fall of 2026. Most commonly AGFs will be on either a Teaching Track or a Practice Track. For the Teaching Track primary responsibilities would be teaching and developing curricular materials. For the Practice Track primary responsibilities would be teaching in both MBA and Executive Education programs and writing with a view to influencing practice. AGF applicants typically bring a distinctive competency to the School without necessarily being expected to engage in the breadth of contribution of a tenured or tenure-track faculty.

The TOM area at Darden specializes in influential academic and practitioner-oriented research and teaching excellence. There is broad latitude with respect to specific area of research interest. The area offers a variety of required and elective courses to residential part-time and executive MBA students. TOM faculty also teach actively in Dardens non-degree Executive Education programs.
