Overview
A Home Depot Installation Services (HDIS) Design Consultant is responsible for selling exterior and interior products and services to customers. Primary responsibilities are outside sales visits to customer homes and trade shows. The role involves travel and time away from a dedicated office, with a focus on in-home sales calls, needs assessment, tailored product recommendations, pricing quotes, warranty and financing options, and completing required sales contracts and paperwork. The Design Consultant will also solicit new customers inside assigned THD stores and during industry events, maintain store relationships, educate store associates on HDIS offerings, and raise awareness of HDIS programs.

Travel Requirements
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements
Most of the time is spent sitting; occasional moving or lifting of light articles may be required.
Working Conditions
Usually in a comfortable environment with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from dust, fumes, or odors. Requires regular and frequent local travel. Access to reliable transportation is required. Reimbursement for travel will be provided as required by state and federal law.
