Job description

How You Will Make a Difference

As a Patient Technician at US Renal Care, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care and support to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. Collaborating closely with a skilled team, you will assist with various tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN).

Your Responsibilities

Patient Care : You will work one-on-one with patients to ensure they receive safe, comfortable, and effective dialysis treatment. Your duties will include monitoring patient vital signs, initiating and terminating treatment, and collecting blood samples as per physician orders.

Technician Duties : Quality is our priority. You will prepare dialysis machines, maintain cleanliness and hygiene by disinfecting equipment, and perform safety checks according to established protocols, ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Safety and Quality : Maintaining high safety standards is essential. You will follow all safety guidelines, participate in staff meetings, and engage in continued education to enhance your skills in line with company policies and state / federal regulations.

What We're Seeking

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A passion for healthcare and providing patient care.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, especially in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
  • Comfort with mixing medical solutions as per established protocols.
  • Ability to distinguish primary colors is required.

Additional Requirements :

  • Successful completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including competency in hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.
  • CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire or as mandated by state regulations.
  • Attainment of Patient Care Technician certification through a state or nationally recognized program within 18 months of hire, with ongoing maintenance of certification.
