A Kinaxis Consultant is a highly specialized professional focused on implementing, configuring, and optimizing the Kinaxis RapidResponse platform to meet a client's supply chain planning needs. This role typically bridges the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, leveraging deep expertise in both supply chain processes and the Kinaxis software.

Core Responsibilities :
Business Requirements Analysis :
Conduct in-depth discovery sessions with clients to understand their current supply chain challenges, pain points, and future business objectives.Translate complex business requirements into clear, comprehensive functional and technical specifications for Kinaxis RapidResponse.Analyze existing supply chain processes (demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, S&OP, production scheduling, etc.) and identify areas for improvement.Kinaxis Solution Design and Configuration :
Design, build, and configure Kinaxis RapidResponse applications (Maestro) to meet specific business process and application requirements.Develop and implement Kinaxis Maestro, ensuring customization and thorough documentation.Configure the RapidResponse interface, including workbooks, worksheets, alerts, metrics, scorecards, dashboards, and control sets.Build and maintain data models, dashboards, and supply chain analytics within RapidResponse.Provide expert guidance on best practices for implementing and utilizing Kinaxis RapidResponse solutions.Implementation and Integration :
Lead and participate in implementation projects, managing configuration sprint sessions and ensuring smooth deployment.Integrate Kinaxis RapidResponse with other enterprise-level applications such as ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), using ETL tools and data mapping.Develop and maintain technical documentation related to application development and integration.Support data integration with multiple source and target systems.Testing, Training, and Support :
Develop and execute test plans, ensuring the solution produces expected results and aligns with user stories.Lead customer training workshops on the configured solution and create user training materials.Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Kinaxis Maestro, troubleshooting and resolving complex configuration and data issues.Manage change requests and ensure timely ticket resolution in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Project Management & Collaboration :
Participate in technical architectures, identify resources, and estimate timelines for project completion.Work closely with client super users, project teams, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to drive project success.Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and to the client's satisfaction.Act as the main point of contact between the client and the consulting team leadership.Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership :
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and performance within the client's supply chain.Enhance data quality and system connectivity.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and new features within Kinaxis.Mentor and guide junior consultants.Key Skills and Qualifications :
Technical Proficiency :
Mandatory : Hands-on experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse (Maestro), including Authoring, Integration, and Administration activities (Workbook, forms, Worksheets, Alerts, Metrics, Scorecards, Dashboards).Certifications : Kinaxis Author Level 1 (minimum), with higher levels (Author Level 2, Solution Consultant, Solution Architect) often preferred or required. Administration Level 1 / 2 certifications are also highly valued.Strong understanding of data models, database theory, and data analysis.Experience with integration tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).Proficiency in scripting and automation within Kinaxis (e.g., JavaScript) is a plus.Familiarity with SQL, R, and / or Java Script can be beneficial.Supply Chain Domain Expertise :
Deep functional knowledge of supply chain processes : Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning, S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning), Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning), Order Fulfillment, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), Constraint Management.Understanding of manufacturing scheduling requirements and operational constraints.Consulting & Soft Skills :
