SERVER- GJELINA NYC

Part-Time

Hourly Pay Rate :   $ 11.00 +  5.50 (Tips) = $16.50 minimum per hour.

Gjelina Restaurant in Noho on Bond St. is seeking an experienced Server to join our dynamic team!

Position Summary :

As a server at Gjelina NYC, you are a key part of delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will be the main point of contact for guests, providing high-quality service with a fine dining approach and extensive food and beverage knowledge. Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Essential Duties :

  • Greet guests, take orders, and ensure efficient service.
  • Maintain knowledge of the food and beverage menu, including allergens and pairings.
  • Handle guest interactions with professionalism and grace.
  • Keep server stations organized and assist with opening and closing duties.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Attend training and stay up-to-date with menu changes.

Qualifications :

  • Applicants should have 2 years of service experience in a high volume / upscale environment
  • Have worked with a progressive wine program and passionate about small producers
  • Depth of knowledge in classic and craft cocktails
  • Understands the difference between being a leader vs an order taker
  • Enjoys education and sharing.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility with work schedules, including nights and weekends.

    • Physical Demands :

    Stand, lift, bend, and walk for long periods (8-12 hours).

    Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

    Climb stairs, kneel, bend, and crouch as needed.

    Work in fast-paced, varying conditions (temperature, noise).

    Work Environment :

    Moderate noise levels and possible exposure to wet, hot, or slippery conditions.
