Job Overview
We’re hiring a dedicated Assistant Retail Store Manager to support the in-person retail experience for three to four months in NYC. This role is perfect for a motivated individual who is passionate about customer service, team leadership, and contributing to a mission-driven brand. You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure smooth daily operations and a welcoming, inclusive environment for our plus size -inclusive community.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the Store Manager in leading daily operations and providing exceptional in-store experiences.
- Serve as a key brand ambassador, building authentic customer relationships and fostering a community-first atmosphere.
- Help execute and manage community events, brand activations, and in-store moments.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to oversee inventory management, including restocking products.
- Ensure all products are properly hung, displayed, clean, pressed and merchandised according to brand standards.
- Be well-versed in all store policies, including the return policy, and ensure they are communicated clearly and kindly.
- Assist in tracking and reporting on sales, event turnout, customer feedback, and engagement patterns.
- Support the marketing team in capturing and sharing meaningful customer experiences for social and email content.
- Provide personalized styling advice and assist with taking customer measurements, recording data as part of a personalized experience.
- Help drive sign-ups to the online website and increase social media followers.
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in in store retail customer service; fashion experience is a plus.Passionate about inclusivity, representation, and community building.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail.Familiarity with retail systems (Shopify POS) and social media platforms.Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, digital-first retail environment.Why Viva Voce?
