Responsibilities Labor and Delivery unit in a hospital setting Patient population includes near-term deliveries, both vaginal and C-section, 36 weeks and greater Patient ratios are 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 3-bed unit within a Level IV Trauma Center Shifts are 3x12 days (7 : 00-19 : 00) No on-call requirement Requires floating to medical and emergency departments as Helping Hands without patient assignment Uses Epic EMR Responsibilities include comprehensive care for laboring patients, supporting vaginal and C-section deliveries, and neonatal care May be required to float to different units as needed to support hospital operations Unit scrubs provided and are purple Free parking available Not open to first-time travelers Must be separated from previous employment at this health system for at least one year prior to consideration Local candidates accepted Requirements Active OR RN license or proof of application required Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery, postpartum, or newborn experience Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, Phillips fetal monitoring (AWHONN), and S.T.A.B.L.E required At least 1 year of Epic experience required Skills in IV insertion and ability to assist OB team in OR and PACU for C-section and newborn care Must have prior travel nursing experience References : 2 professional references from the past 2 years, including one supervisor or charge nurse reference Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (booster not required) Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-638984.
