Automation Quality Engineer (QE)

Job Description

An employer for a large insurance company is looking for a Senior Automation QE to join different project / sprint teams. This person should be strong technically in QA Automation (Java / Selenium, UI testing, API testing) and transfer to release to the functional side. 100% of this role will be focused on the Automation framework. Responsibilities include :

• Developing / Coding on Automation Framework (implementing new functionality, rewriting / enhancing framework, etc)
• Supporting the QE automation framework and migrating test cases to the V3 automation framework.
• Role is 100% REMOTE but candidate preference is - LOCAL to anywhere in CA - required to come on site 1x a month or as needed to meet with team and collaborate

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from an accredited college (Computer Science / Engineering Degree - equivalent or technical field)

High Tech Company Experience (Silicon Valley or Start Up Company)

Must possess strong technical expertise and proficiency in coding

3+ years of experience with QA Automation / SDET / Quality Engineering

3+ years of experience API testing - INSOMNIA

3+ years of experience with any programming experience

3+ years of experience with Selenium Web Driver

UI Testing

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, & fast learner

Ability to self-learn and collaborate within groups

Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Python Programming Language

SQL scripting / writing complex queries

Experience with Jenkins / CI CD (Done automation tooling)
