Position : Senior Fire Alarm Designer

Location : Tampa, FL (Relocation considered for qualified candidates)

About the Role :

On behalf of our valued client in the Tampa area, we are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Alarm Designer. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in large and complex fire alarm projects who is looking for an opportunity to grow into a leadership position. While fire alarm design expertise is preferred, we will also consider seasoned professionals with significant experience in other Fire Protection Systems.

Responsibilities :

• Design and layout fire alarm systems for large-scale and complex projects, ensuring compliance with NFPA, local, state, and federal codes.
• Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and submittals using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field technicians to ensure accuracy and constructability of designs.
• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, with the potential to step into a formal leadership role.
• Coordinate with AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) for approvals and inspections.
