Position Summary
The AR / AP Assistant Manager helps the Accounting Manager oversee all aspects of the company’s accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of transactions, supervising staff, and supporting month-end close activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all AR and AP processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with supporting accounting staff in daily operations
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries
- Review and approve ACH batches and bank account transactions
- Monitor and improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy
- Administer corporate credit card program and ensure policy compliance
- Calculate and approve customer rebates
- Manage 1099 year-end processing
- Handle sales and use tax filings and compliance
- Maintain strong relationships and communication with customers and vendors
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldStrong understanding of accounting principles and internal controlsProven experience managing both accounts receivable and payable functionsProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelExcellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work on-site and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
